The Business Analyst/Product Expert at Old Mutual collaborates with Product Owners, Feature Analysts, and System Architects to translate business strategy into tangible outcomes. They shape the Protection Proposition, break down features into user stories, define acceptance criteria, and work with cross-functional teams using agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Product Owners in executing their strategy, vision, objectives, and product roadmaps
• Provide thought leadership and assistance to the Product Owners in designing optimal business solutions based on fundamental business design principles and concepts
• Craft high-level business requirements
• Collaborate with teams of Feature Analysts, Business Analysts, and System Architects in the analysis, design, and implementation of business requirements
• Break Features into stories, including agreeing on acceptance criteria

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary education in Business, Commerce, or Information Systems
• At least five years of relevant experience with regards to Protection Propositions
• Significant volume of business knowledge and awareness
• Knowledge and experience of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile (SAFe), etc
• Knowledge and experience in using tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira, Miro, and TFS
• Knowledge and experience of typically used Agile techniques such as User Story mapping, ATDD, TDD, etc
